reset the cmos and try the install you can reoptimise it after
turn the computer off
remove the power lead from the back
take the side off
remove the cmos battery
move the cmos jumper from pins 1 and 2 to pin 2 and 3 and the back to pins 1 and 2
replace the battery
put the side on
replug in the power lead
boot the computer

Windows update just did 23 security fixes and guess what, IT WORKS!!!. I dont know if my memory setttings are right though. It says 1033 for something but then it says 800 for something else in the bios. I am not sure if I should change the 800 to 1033.

um, when i hit ctrl alt delete, nothing shows up. it just says administrator and it says disconnect or log off. it doesnt let me access the processes menu or anything. any ideas guys? i will try to post a screenie.

fixed, lol. all i had to do was double click on the outside of the box. ***. thanks for all your help guys. now if i can just get Frontlines to install.
