I am sorry is this is not the right forum for the question, but I assume it will be BIOS related.
I have a Compaq HP D530 SFF (small form factor) Buisness PC which I made some minor upgrades to. I installed a graphics card and additional fan so had to change the power supply. Now upon booting up my PC, an error message states... "920-Fan Comman 2 Pin Connector from Power Supply NOT CONNECTED" After which I have to wait and press F1 to boot. Everything seems to be working correctly, the fan in the new power supply is on and I even removed the small 2 pin fan from the origional casing and plugged it into the motherboard but still it says this message. More of an annoyance really, is there any way to stop this message appearing every time I turn on my PC? Thanks in advance for any suggestions. |

Re: Error message on boot up
Ok I found out this is a common problem with HP desktop PC's. HP insisted I either live with it or plug a 2k resistor on the pin. I upgraded my case and attached 2 new chassis fans and the message has gone away.
In your face HP. :P |
