Re: Startup

I'm guessing that this is related to the other problem I was helping you with.
The reason you're getting the bsod's is that you are attempting to boot a computer with an entirely different set of drivers.

The windows repair is the only thing that's going to fix that.

After the repair, you are going to want to delete the previous graphics driver, even if it's for the same video card, and reinstall it on the new system.

It doesn't matter which graphics solution the computer uses, it still has a graphics driver, and if you take the hard drive out of that computer, and put it into another computer with a different graphics chip, Windows is not going to like it.

And without the serial, you can't do a windows repair.

Re: Startup

Okay so i got all my old parts, put it together, got my serial number and a cd. so all was good. Until i couldnt find a "Boot From CD" or anything after i put my old HD back into my new build, it gave me a thing that let me select "Floppy" or "Hard Drive" but not CD. Any suggestions?

Re: Startup

I forget from the other thread, but did you clear your cmos yet?

If not, do so.

If you did and you're not seeing the option for cd burner, then try replugging the cd burner cables in, and maybe even a different cable if you have one.
It's also possible the burner is bad.

Also, make sure you're checking the right place in your bios.
