"system failed cpu test" POST message (k8vsedx)

Hi, please help. My mb was sold to me with an old BIOS version (cheers mesh) so I tried flashing it (floppy method).
It froze half way through so I rebooted, now when I turn on the power I get the above POST voice message.
I've tried wiping the CMOS to try and reset it to a factory default or something but no joy. Is there anything else I can do?
mesh reckon it's not their problem...
thanks.

Why did you flash the BIOS in the first place?

If your getting this error now after a failed BIOS flash,
you have two options to try.

1) If you pull the CMOS battery, and if your board has a flash
jumper...perform that procedure. It might bring the board
back.

2) You need to RMA the board to ASUS for a reflash.
