Sound on P5GDC

HI!

I've got an Asus P5GDC with CMI9880 onboard audio (Intel High Definition Audio compliant) and a Philips MMS 460 5.1 speaker sytem.
All the cables are well connected, and in Xear (the sound management app) each one of the 6 speakers is working fine.
But when is play mp3's or DVD's, I get no bass in the subwoofer! I get no bass regardelss of the app... I have the latest drives installed...
Has anyone encountered this problem yet?
What can I do?

Thanks,
Mike85

Yes, I do have driver version 5.12.01.0007.36, as reported by Xear. No bass with it. If I configure the center jack to output BACK SURROUND (like 7.1) i do get bass...
The question is: how do I get bass with the real configuration (5.1)?

Thx,
Mike85
