Re: New Motherboard, new boot problem
Well this is odd... just checked out the motherboard manual to see if I could figure anything out-
"Supports 64/128/256/512 Mb technology up to 2 GB" Obviously this means my 1 gig sticks are not compatable, but how in the world would I get 2 gigs with only two memory slots? I'd hate to have two 1 gig strips go to waste... anyone know of a workaround/upgrade I can use to be able to use these strips? |

Re: New Motherboard, new boot problem
Ok, well I'm still having issues with the memory. I went out and bought 2 512 sticks and with both of these inserted the computer will boot up to the Windows loading screen, then after a few seconds it will restart. The only way I can actually get the computer to load is to use the old 256 stick with a 512, and even then it is spotty. Any ideas what to do?

Also, the manual is pretty bad, doesn't say much at all about memory upgrades and doesn't have a recommended list either. |
