Are my temps ok?
Built my first machine about 6 months ago and to be fair its been great. Absolutly love it, handles most i throw at it. Only problem i have is when i try and play high spec games. Pro evo 2008 is fine, but assasins creed or the new rainbow six wil freeze about 15 mins in.
Now today for the first time when i was surfing the net. Never done that before. These are my temps idle, underload i don't think ive ever seen my cpu go above 46 degrees. ![]() Last edited by jibber4568 : 04-27-2008 at 04:35 PM. |

Re: Are my temps ok?
those temps are fine.
If you start creeping around the 60+, high 50's loaded then it would be something to address

Re: Are my temps ok?
Yeah i thought so. Was just under the impression that freezing like that was usually temp related.
Its so frustrating not being able to play these games. My specs are Intel Core Duo 2.66GHz 2MB Ram GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400C4 800MHz Black Dragon DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GB22GB6400C4DC) ATI Radeon X1950 Pro Gigabyte P35C-DS3R Corsair HX 520W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU (CMPSU-520HXUK) Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit. Any idead what might be causing it? |

Re: Are my temps ok?
do you have the ability to see what your GPU temps are ?
Have you run memtest86 to make sure there are no errors on your ram http://www.memtest86.com/ Run this for a few hours min

Re: Are my temps ok?
You can use RivaTuner to check GPU temps. I can't think of any other software that can do that unfortunately.

Re: Are my temps ok?
Ok, memtest doesnt work. I have tried running it on both sticks one at a time but it always freezes within 10 min. My mate has the exact same ram as me, so i tried one of his and that froze to. Am pretty sure that this ram shold be compatable for my motherboard. Machine has defo strated freezing more. Seems to be doing it quite a bit when im running quickpar on large files. I have never had a blue screen, however when i turned my machine on today i had the message you can see below. Any ideas what this is relating to.
Cheers guys ![]() |
