Good Day,
Here is my conundrum. I have an old Biostar motherboard. If my memory is working, the model is M7VKB. There were 2 versions of this motherboard. The one I have will only read hard drives that run at 33 or 66 megabytes. I had 2 66 megabyte hard drives connected to it and the hard drives worked, though the Maxtor drive was annoyingly loud. I have read that a 100 megabyte hard drive would work with the motherboard, but just run at the slower speed. I hooked up a Seagate hard drive, 100 megabytes. It did not work at all. Has anyone tried this scenario and seen it work? Or not? Thank you for your input. The Germans are exceedingly fond of Rhine wines; they are put up in tall, slender bottles, and are considered a pleasant beverage. One tells them from vinegar by the label. -- Mark Twain, A Tramp Abroad |
