My computer randomly reboots itself. No blue screen or warning. It happens at all different times and even if I am not doing anything with my computer. Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Re: Random Reboots
hi KrisWmr,
Check on this setting and make some changes: Right Click on My Computer Click Properties Select the Advanced tab Click the Settings button under Startup and Recovery Remove the check from the Automatically Restart checkbox Next time it encounters a problem, it will give you an error message rather than restarting. If an error comes up, just post back here.

Re: Random Reboots
Okay, My computer rebooted again, but this time I got a blue screen error. The number was 0x0000004e. When I did a search on google for it, most of the answers were for windows XP. I am running Windows 2K SP4.

Re: Random Reboots
try running diagnostic on your RAM. d/load Memtest86+ from the link on my sig. below. burn the image into CD. boot from that CD to start the diags.
