The HD3650 scored higher than the HD2600 XT. You need to read the reviews, it doesnt always matter what card is newer.

The HD3650 is newer, but both cards are only mid-range. There are better gaming cards available.

Newer doesn't necessarily mean better. New cards are released to cater for different needs, so a low-spec card released today can be much slower than a 1 year old high-spec card.

If you're looking for the fastest card for games, compare the clock speeds, memory bandwidth, fill rates, shader versions, etc.

Check your motherboard manual to see if the PCIE slots are 2.0 or earlier. Some older Asus motherboards with PCIE 1.0 had trouble supporting the new 2.0 versions of PCIE graphics cards, but this has been fixed with BIOS updates.

I had this same problem when I bought an 8800GT PCIE2 for my old Asus PCIE1 motherboard. At the time there were no BIOS updates available so I upgraded the mobo to a newer one that support 2.0 cards.

As far as I know it's ok to use PCIE 2.0 cards on all Asus motherboards now, but check with the supplier before buying just to make sure.

Its 1.1 16x and is this video cards that i can use. HIS Radeon HD 2600 PRO 512MB DDR2, HDMI, iSilence III, PCI-Express, DVI/HDCP and XFX GeForce 8500GT Fatal1ty 512MB DDR2, PCI-Express, DVI(HDMI)/VGA, 620/1700Mhz with my board. I find them on Komplett.

I want some help and stuck to buy either AMD Athlon 64 FX-62 (2,8GHz) Socket AM2 Box or AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ (3,0GHz) Socket AM2 Box but which bios would i need for theme. have looked on asus website and dont understand which one bios is for theme. Do them both work for asus m2n nforce 430 mcp motherboard

You can use both the Radeon HD2600 Pro or GeForce 8500GT, though they're not very good for playing the latest games. If you stretch your budget a little, you could get a GeForce 9600GT which would give more than twice the performance of either card. I'd recommend going for the AthlonX2 6000+, it's much cheaper than the FX-62 and offers similar performance. The ASUS M2N should support it without a BIOS update. The BIOS update that you might need is to make a PCIE 2.0 card work on your motherboard that supports PCIE 1.0/1.1, nothing to do with the CPU.

I'm not sure what you mean by "on by board it stod Rev. 1.02G". Check your motherboard manual to see if the PCIE slots are 1.0, 1.1 or 2.0. It was an old Asus M2 motherboard that I had trouble with. If you need a BIOS update you can get it from the Asus website, but don't update if the graphics card is already supported by your mobo.
