Dual core only running on 1core.

I just got a AMD Dual Core Athlon 64 x2 3800+ off one my m8's who has had it for over 2years. It appears to only be running off a single core, when I go into task manager it only has 1graph. I did a cpu-z test and it comes up with the 1core running at normal speed (2000mhz) but theres no hint of the second core running at all. I'm using Windows XP pro 64bit and Gigabyte GA-K8N Ultra-SLI Motherboard. I can post the cpuz results if that'll help. Any help on the problem is greatly appreciated.

Sure did with no change. I notice under device manager it's showing up as "ACPI Uniprocessor x64-bases PC" where as it should be multiprocessor? Updating the driver just gets a no better update message. I reloaded windows and hit f5 when the "do you want to install raid/sc hit f6i" message pops up and selected the ACPI Multiprocessor x64-bases PC option but its still set as uni processor when installed.
