Thumbs Up THANK YOU!! P4P800-E Deluxe - SATA Drive problem FIXED!!

Hello to everyone,
I am just stopping by for my first time, and you have helped me fix my
problem in about 15 mins!

I want to say thanks to everyone involved in this post:
ASUS P4P800-E Deluxe - I was right!

I just purchased a new P4P800-E Deluxe, and I was experiencing the same problem as 'timW'. I was about to get really pissed off because I had this feeling when I purchased the SATA 150 80gb Seagate drive that it would be an awesome drive if I ever managed to get it working, and sure enough, I had problems right off!

Anyway, the problem has been resolved as a direct result of following the suggestions from 'mark3567' & 'clintfan'.

Before tonight I didn't even know that this forum existed, but thanks to Google for getting me here, and thanks to all of you involved for your assistance with my problem. I even registered just to make a post to say thanks!

After problem resolution, XP prof proceeded to load in about 10mins flat (up from a normal 40mins!!!!), so everything looks to be fine, and I spent my money well!

Thanks again,
-Matt V

I'm glad the site was able to help you with your problem. And thanks for the thanks. Always happy to see a thank you in the forums, even better when its for the techs working on a problem.
