HELP...New build computer..no boot screen..help pls!!
Hi..im building a new computer with:
m2r32 mvp mobo amd athlon 64 x2 6000+ ati hd radeon 3870 kingston ddr2 pc6400 2gb cooler master 750w antec 900 wd 500gb\ i connect everything and all of them are runnign fine.. cpufan runs, video card runs, powersupply runs, mobo lights on, but case no speaker..and when i connect monitor to video card..no screen come up?? just blank. i reset rtc in cmos with: turn off comp remove battery switch jumper from 1,2 to 2,3 wait 10 sec. switch jumper back install battery turn on no bios screen and i tried: turn off comp remove battery switch jumper from 1,2 to 2,3 wait 10 sec. switch jumper back install battery turn on still no bios screen Please help..thank you for your reply Last edited by st0ner : 02-12-2008 at 02:30 AM. Hi st0ner, did you hook up the monitor after the computer was running? I would start by taking everything off the motherboard. Reseat the power connectors to the motherboard. Install 1 stick of memory in slot #1, reseat the video card and hook up the power wire to it. Hook up 1 cd drive and 1 hard drive. If you are running both drives off one IDE ribbon, jumper the HDD as the master and attach it to the end connector, cd as slave on the middle connector. See if it will boot. Try to find an addon speaker to put in so you can hear error beeps or post beep. Mike

hi mike..thx for the reply.
I got it fixed, but new problem arose. Every time i turn off the computer, i had to reset the cmos then the screen come up. I dont know why. pls help |

After you reset the cmos, do you boot with all settings at default? Does your monitor support the video resolution you are using. Try shutting down at 800 x 600, then reboot and see if it comes up. Mike
