I Built A Comp. And No Video Shows On Monitor.
I have tried everything. But everytime i turn on the computer, everything on the inside turns on, my video card also turns on, and the red HDD light on the front case turns on, but the Green LED on the front case does not.
I have also removed the battery for a little more than five minutes to reset the cmos and that didnt change anything, unless that doesnt do anything in the first place... Has anyone heard of anything like this? please help, here is my specs. Intel D101GGC Motherboard Intel Pentium 4 Processor 2 Gig DDR Ram ATI Radeon X1050 256mb PCI-Express. Is any other information that u guys need? =\ im sorry if im not helping myself, im just terrible when it comes to hardware. |

Re: I Built A Comp. And No Video Shows On Monitor.
Are you saying everything works except the Power LED?
LEDs are polarized devices, they have a + & - side. Try reversing the connector to the LED on the motherboard (hope it's a 2-pin connector).

Re: I Built A Comp. And No Video Shows On Monitor.
well kind of, the power LED does not go on, but hte hdd led does, ive tried switching the + and - , it didnt do anything, and also the main thing tahts wrong, is that nothing comes up on the monitor, it just stays orange. i have tried resseting the video card and everything, and nothing seems to be working,
and my power supply.. um.. I havnt got a clue on the brand.. =\ Voltage=115/230V Max Output=450W 20+4 Pin And i have to use that yellow and black four pin as well. idk if thats enough info that or not, but im pretty sure its not he power supply, cause everyhitng turns on, the video card, teh cd drive(even the lights go on for it, and it opens) the hdd light goes on. and mobo light goes on. soo.. im stumped. =\ thanks for you help so far guys. i just dont know why the monitor will not display anything, its like its not recieving a video signal.
