[SOLVED] bios freezing up
Recently, I put together a new computer. While trying to configure Bios to the correct settings I discovered a problem: Bios freezes up. Sometimes I am able to enter into Bios, sometimes it freezes up before it will even enter. The few times I have been able to poke around and make some changes, I cannot save them.
Any ideas on what is going on here? |

Re: bios freezing up
Please list your full system specs
If it will run long enough in bios post your temps and voltages Make sure all parts are compatible, main thing at this point is ram and cpu compatible with motherboard. Try with one stick of ram if it still does the same try another stick, this way if you have a bad stick you could isolate it |

Re: bios freezing up
I actually tried that earlier on. Turns out both sticks i received were D.O.A.
When I swapped them out...huzzah! I can't even begin to describe how grateful (and incredibly angry) I was. I wonder how many people have ram horror stories..... Last edited by whiterosesong; 02-08-2008 at 09:34 PM. |
