Re: PC fails to start

It's worth a try, but I wouldn't leave it in there for very long even if it works. Mike

Do you know what revision of the board you have? There are 4 revisions of the GA-P35-DS4 and they all support the E6750, 1.0 with F6 bios, 1.1 with F6 bios, 2.0 with F6 bios and 2.1 with F10 bios

Re: PC fails to start

Do not attempt bios flashing until your rig is stable running.

If understanding the manual right the CPU's X 8 pin plug is needed for extreme type intel processors/ does the 8x pin off the PSU slip appart 1x4 pin + 1x4 pin as does the 20+4 pin MB connector? if it does try connecting 1 - 1x4 in the cpu power socket on the end silk screened on the board 1pin 2pin.

Re: PC fails to start

rma the m/b
if it was underpowered the fans would keep turning you just would not get anything past the post screens
shutting down indicates a short and as you have tried it out of the case it would point to a problem with the m/b

Re: PC fails to start

one other thought using 1 GPU was the extra 12v GPU supply next to the ram inserted? using 1 GPU card this sould not be connected.
