Hi just want some opinions plz

Hi guys sorry about not responding to my last post it wasnt my computer and i emailed the guy to get his system specs and well never got an answer.

Well anyway i would like to ask you guys what do you think about the

K9A2_Platinum (MS-7376) systemboard?

Also whats the best processor that you would recommend for this board?

I know it supports AMD phenom,Athlon and Sempron processors.

Thanks

Re: Hi just want some opinions plz

Is this the board you're talking about?

http://www.msicomputer.com/product/p...tinum&class=mb

If so, that is a very nice board, and one of the few I've seen with 4 PCI x16 slots. However, that also looks like a very expensive board that could cost somewhere around $300 (do you know the retail price? I can't find the retail price on the site I found it), so if money's your issue, there are a few $250 2.3 GHz quad core phenom processors on NewEgg I've found in the past. Here's an example:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103225

If money is not you're issue, then you can get 3.0+ GHz quad core processors sometimes upwards of $1200+.

Actually i was asking because its $172.25 only at

http://www.msicomputer.com/product/p...tinum&class=mb

just have to click buy and it gives you the different prices

1200 is a bit much for me. Did you know what processor would be good for this board.

Scotty Please start your own thread in the building section / it becomes very difficult to answer questions from multiple posters on multiple systems and keep accurate responses

thank-you

Re: Hi just want some opinions plz

Jay,

Depends how much you want to spend! Ballpark figure?

Personally, I'd have gone for an Intel/SLi solution, the new AMDs just don't cut it compared to the new Intel processors.

Re: Hi just want some opinions plz

Welll unless tou are set on AMd. I would suggest the striker exstream its 300 dollars. But its way better that MSi.ASUS is way better.Or you could get the crosshair mobo. But if your set on the SLIx4 etc. features that that MOBO offers than it is exellet
