For the past 2 weeks i havnt had a PC, i sent my motherboard off to be replaced because the memory controller died.
Ive also replaced RAM and the CPU. All my games continue to crash as they did before however windows does not. Ive ran memtest and found 5 errors (on new RAM that are 2 days old), just to be sure i took them out and went to a friends house and ran the memtest there, no errors......... This is really frustrating its like a have some sort of jinx. Ive tested all my HDD's and they all come back fine. Ive also noticed that the motherboard constantly insists on having my RAM volts on 2.0v, even tho they are on a 5/5/5/15 @ 1.8v settings They can support 4/4/4/12 @ 1.9-2.1v but i dont want those timmings yet as i want to sort out this problem. Do you think they only replaced the faulty motherboard component when i asked them for a brand new one and just sent it back to me? Specs on the left..

Re: Need help finding the problem
Boot your pc with minimal hardware installed. remove DVD-drive, Hdisks. Just boot it with RAM & video adapter installed all at normal clocksettings. Boot into your bios and set your RAM specs to what they should be. Then reboot and perform some memory tests. if needed via utility bootdisk/cd. Good thing to do is to check if your PSU is working correctly. (I checked mine by listening to it when booting pc with min hardware and then with full install; I heard some weard sounds comming out of it) Could be PSU problem. Also possible that your problem comes simply from bad OC combinations. So maybe overclock in small steps and at every step perform some stability tests.
Have fun :-)

Re: Need help finding the problem
Ive just used Sisoftware Sandra and tried cooking my PC on the benchmarks. All passed not a single fail nor did any temp go over board.
So could it just be the games. I was running Vista x64 and hardly any games crashed, but ive re-installed XP Pro x64 and nearly all my games crash.
