RAM problem

i have a mercury P4M266 NDFSMX motherboard .
it can support upto 2GB of main memory.
is it possible to insert a SD RAM & a DD RAM simultaneously.
will this work.

if not why?

no it's not
they run on different circuits and you can run only on one or the other
