Re: System wont turn on
Changed the power supply and the system now at least powers on, the other PSU seems to be the problem as it wouldn't power another system either that I tested it with. System powers up but now I cant get a signal from the graphics card to the monitor, having to use the DMI apadtor that came with it as the monitors all use the old connection and not the DMI, fits perfectly well but still no signal...blah if its not one thing its another haha

Re: System wont turn on
Its a 600W Jeantech UK Artic PSU so the supply shouldn't be the problem anymore I wouldn't have thought. Will try unplugging the hard drive and dvd and see if the monitor will respond then, maybe take out one of the two sticks of ram as well.

Re: System wont turn on
Changed the graphics card and now the display works, surely the graphics card and the psu weren't both faulty = ( Get a new monitor 2mo that has DVI inputs so I'll test that monitor with the 8800 GT I've got then to see if it picks up any signal. Bah this has been one troublesome build!

Re: System wont turn on
more likely still underpowered for the 8800,jeantec have improved their supplies but are still not quality at only 72% efficency
quality supplies are now in the 80-85% range with a 8800 you expect to see a quality 650+ running the system

Re: System wont turn on
Turns out its the motherboard that's not compatible with the 8800GT as its a GEN2 PCIe card and the board only supports GEN1, which wasn't mentioned anywhere without some serious looking. Turns out lots of ppl have ran into this problem
Solution is to use another computer to flash the card to make it a GEN1 card but I dont have any other PCIe compatible motherboards so instead I'm just sending it back and getting a different card.
