INSANE motherboard problem!!!

Hey people, new here- just want to start off with this; I was updating the BIOS on my computer ( Foxconn sol series motherboard ) from fox liveupdate and someone (who will remain nameless ) turns my system off, i went to turn it back on but BOOOM, the monitor does not pick up signal, everything works on the system: processor, fans, rom the lot. I have tried everything i can think off and still nothing, Any help will be appreciated!

Re: INSANE motherboard problem!!!

When you flashed the bios it clears it and then writes the new bios. Sounds like it was shut down before the new bios was installed and now you have no bios. Your PC turns on but has no idea of what to do! You may have to locate a new working bios chip and insert it on your board, provided it is modular and can be replaced.

I agree , you will have to get the bios chip replaced if possible. Until then unfortunately you have an expensive paper weight.

Re: INSANE motherboard problem!!!

Some of the newer MBs have a BIOS backup and recovery feature if something like this happens. I don't know about your Foxconn. If you have to replace the BIOS chip, Google BIOSMAN. They shipped a few BIOS chips to Mexico for me. They came through both times.
