new computer stopped working...help?

500watt power supply...m2nesli MB by Asus...AMD Athlon 6000x2...OCZ 2gb dual channel 6400 800mhz ram...WD 250gb SATA ...windows xp Home...GEForce 8800 GTS overclocked graphics card

Computer was running fine and shut itself off. It will not turn on now, the motherboard light shows power.

ahh i believe same thing happened to me. try another powersupply and see if that works

Do you have another computer to test your parts? How long was it running before it shut off? What were the temps like before it shut off? On a new system it could be anything, are all the parts brand new? So when you hit the power button it does nothing, or do the fans spin and no boot? If you hit the button and it does nothing, the power supply might have died. You might try resetting the cmos by moving the jumper, then back again and try to boot. Post back with some info. Mike
