HDD Setup with P4C800-E Deluxe?

If I were to add a SATA HDD to my current 2xIDE setup, do I need to use RAID? Or can I get away without not setting that up? Is it a general rule of thumbthat RAID is necessary for 3+ hard drives? I know it's a newb question, I just figure it'll be good to know for the future.

I am sure you can add a sata drive without raid, you have to go into the bios and set it up though, In ide config I think it is from memory

Blackduck's right...SATA does not need to be in a RAID configuration.
