does the new phenow have a new socket or does it support my old am2 ?

hi, does the new phenom prosessors have a new socket or do they still support the same old mainboards ?

AM2+ CPUs are pin compatible with older AM2 boards. You can use them, but extra features introduced with the AM2+ chips would be unavailable.

Yes Phenom uses the same socket as AM2


but before you buy a phenom cpu, make sure your board supports it
