PC Not Booting - Pls Help
Hello there,
I have PIV 1.8GHz on an assembled case with a HP Mother Board on it (don't know exactly from which HP PC). Anyways, the PC was working perfectly fine for the last 2 years since I assembled it, but from today morning onwards it seems to be gone insane... When I switched ON the PC first time today, the monitor displayed the message "Switching to Power Saving Mode in 5 Seconds" (Viewsonic Monitor). This informs that there is no signal coming from the PC to the monitor. After couple of seconds, there was some beep sound from the PC. One Long Beep and 3 Short Beeps. So I tried to power off by pressing the power switch did not help and I had to remove the power chord from socket. As soon as I connected the Power chord back to the socket, keyboard keys blinked and the computer started running, but no display and again the same beep sounds after couple of seconds.. I had an extra Processor, tried with a new processor, same problem. Please help me resolve the issue. thanks, Kpereira. |
