Hey everyone,
New to the forums and I had a quick question about the new motherboard I just bought for my new gaming computer. I am looking to find out the max amount of RAM that can be supported on my new "baby". ![]() The motherboard is a... Intel D975XBX2KR w/ Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.40GHz 4M Processor - Chipset: Intel 975X Express - Front Side Bus: 800/1066MHz - Processor Interface: Socket 775 dual-channel DDR2 667 memory 4 slots for RAM (designed for 2 dual channel RAM setups) The only thing I have not bought yet is the RAM and I want the max possible. I am hoping I can get 4gigs out of it, but we will see. The MoBo was a great deal with the processor(and great cooling fan) for $439 at TigerDirect. If anyone could please help me out, it would be much appreciated. I would find out myself, but don't know how other than by looking at the manual, and that is 3 days off from being in my hands. Thanks! Chris

Thanks very much Hawman!
That is great to know, though I don't think I will shoot for 8 gigs, most likely 4. Thanks again, especially for a quick response. Helps me a ton! |
