As indicated, unable to access computer files because computer freezes
while attempting to start up Computer appears to load all files and programs My computer consists of an XP operating system - installed 11/06 Kindly advise what I need to do to get my computer running again thanks in advance - for any aid and assistance |

I have an XP operating system
Recently my computer freezes at start up I am unable to access any files, programs, etc When I turn the computer on and it begins to upload my files and programs; it stops during the startup process and does not allow me to continue further Any help, direction, assistance will be appreciated |

going to need a bit more information.
Did you recently change any hardware in your system (add any ram? change the video card? etc.) Do you hear any beeps when it's starting up? Can you put the computer into Safe Mode and let it boot up that way?

Thanks for your reply - I did change/updated my computer in November 2006 - at the time Rams were added also the following INTEL pentium 4 CPU 2.93ghz, 960mb of Ram- was installed I do hear a "noise" at the beginning- when it is loading my preferences after that nothing I do not know how to put the computer into safe mode If I do that how do I return back to "regular Mode" Again, to all thanks for your assistance; in advance regards tomunz |
