yeah all jumpers are on correctly...maybe I should change hard drive to primary and dvd rom drive to slave?

would normally expect to find them in that order unless it is a dvd burner but would'nt expect that to make a difference,have you tried it without the usb connected yet

yeah nothing...but I brought it into a tech shop so they are going to take look at it. I'll let you know what was wrong....Thanks anyways!

Well believe it or not it wasn't the power supply or motherboard...all I needed was to install the latest drivers. The thing was I would rarely get on and when I do get on I would turn it off and see if it would come on again...didn't even think about installing the drivers lol

one last thing is how do I activate the usb slots in the back? I plugged in some usb devices and their not working
