No USB Power or ...
Hello,
This is my first time on the forums as I've been all over Google's Earth trying to find an answer for my problem...with no such luck. Problem: Out of nowhere during a normal starting of my desktop my usb components lost power AFTER the initial BIOS boot and during the Windows loading screen. I tried many different scenarios and restarted to find the same thing happens everytime at almost the exact time. If I look really closely I can see the windows loading screen flicker as my USB components lose power if that matters at all. 1) I have been to device manager and no problems there... 2) I have done a system restore to a date where my mouse worked... 3) I have checked for BIOS updates, as well as others for my comp... 4) I have been in the BIOS utility in F2 disabling/enabling/defaulting USB components... 5) I have tried another mouse as well as other multiple USB devices and they all lose power during windows loading screen... 6) I have unplugged everyother USB device to only leave one for power reasons... 7) I have checked all my hardware wires on the MB to make sure all connections were secure... Yes, my keyboard works, no it is not USB... I have a cheap Intel D101GGC MB, and I use WinXP Home Edition... Any help will be much appreciated, ![]() Thanks |
