Optical drives do not show up in my computer?

My opticals show in bios and device manager but not in my computer. I know this has happened before but I don't remember what I did to fix it.

right click my computer, manage, disk manager...make sure they're there..then see if you can right click to re-assign the letter.

Re: Optical drives do not show up in my computer?

I actually used windows restore. I think it was a windows update that screwed everything up. I went back a week and they are all perfect now. Thanks. Spoke too soon they are both gone again. It could be related to my lack of power.

Re: Optical drives do not show up in my computer?

They are not showing in SATA mode under the Intel chipset. I have a new power supply coming so we will see if it helps.
