4 Red LED lights on MoBo

Hello all,

Basically we have a computer for a press. There was a power outage last week and the thing has stopped working since then. The computer is still able to turn on, and Windows runs fine. But the press stopped working. I looked on the motherboard of the computer, then I saw 4 red LED lights all turned on and the labels for them are

D1 +12V R5
D2 -12V R6
D3 -5V R7
D4 +5V R8

Can someone tell me in general what are those lights for on the motherboard?

Thanks very much.

Re: 4 Red LED lights on MoBo

Hi, of the boards I've seen with led's, the lights being on means power is being received. The brighter the lights, the stronger the power. A blinking light means a problem and no lights means no power.
However, I would really need the name of the motherboard to be certain.

I don't even know what the motherboard is. I looked everywhere on it but found nothing. Thanks for clarification though.

Re: 4 Red LED lights on MoBo

Please download and install Everest Click "Report", "Custom Selection", only choose "Computer" and "Motherboard" save it as a plain text file and add the file to your next post as an attachment.

To add an attachment click "Go Advanced" then click the paperclip and browse to the file.

Everest reports detailed info about the hardware that is in your system, and should supply the motherboard model number. From there HD777 can give you the info you need.

BTW, What kind of Press is it running? This sounds like something that may be software or PLC related.

Re: 4 Red LED lights on MoBo

It's not really a PC, just a special made computer for the press. Thus it can't connect to internet. We did much more diagnosis and we're pretty sure something's wrong with the press, not the computer.

Thanks for the help.
