Crashing/Freezing Problem, new system
Hello Ladys and Gents
So i just recently put together a computer. and i have been having several issues. 1st issue, my computer just randomly decides to complete memory dumps (goes to blue screen..) ![]() and ill have maybe one or two firefox browsers open... not heavy load at all. 2nd issue is when im playing games. my frame rate SUCKS. for example i play Unreal Trounament 2003, and in certail levels my frame rate is about 5 FPS ![]() dont know what its is. so the game will just freeze and force me to reboot the computer. I know my way around the computer but i have no idea what to do? HELP! Also i notice my northbridge is stupid hot, and it has a HS over it, and my South Bridge doesnt have a heat stack over it and its stupid hot to. (stupid hot means i cant put my finger on it for more then 2 seconds with out causing myself pain) i just resently replaced the Power supply (450watt to 500 watt) Also thought it might be the GFX card (8600 GTS to 8800 GTS) replaced the hard drive (maxtor 300gb to wd 120gb) Moved the ram to a different slots Tried updateing all the drivers, bios, chipset, you name it ive done it So heres what my system Consists of: Intel P4 641 3.2ghz with hyperthreading... cant remeber what the name of the heat stack on it but it keeps it cool even under heavy load.. 500 watt power supply ASUS P5N-E SLI mobo 1 gb of kingston ram (1x1024mb) (DDR2) WD 120gb hard drive EVGA Geforce 8800 GTS 320mb and im running windows XP Home... Please help
