Explain what happens now when you power on?

I dont believe its your motherboard or cpu, so if possible try another power supply
It's completely dead Doby. It won't even power on. I am assuming it is the power supply, or I shorted something. I'm not sure how easy it is to change out a power supply, as it is an Antec case and the PSU is wedged up in there pretty good. I have no problem spending the money at this point. I just want it up and running again. My first purchase will be a PSU in the 450W range. I use this for nothing more than music/photos/internet - no gaming. I figure if it is not the PSU, I have upgraded, and chalk it up as a wise investment. Thoughts? Next, I think would be the CPU. I'm not sure what is out there that will fit a 754 socket, but I don't need that much.
