Quick Question: What is my max AMD CPU?

I have an MSI K8T Neo MS-6702 ver. 1.0 motherboard. I just have 2 questions...

1. What is the fastest AMD CPU that I can purchase?

2. Would it be worth the upgrade, or rather, would I notice a markable difference in my PC's speed?

Any other advice would be appreciated...

P.S. Current Specs:

Processor: AMD Athlon 64 2800 @ 1.8 GHz / RAM: 2 GB DDR /
HD: Maxtor 160 ATA

i was for some reason under the delusion that i could go higher than 3200.

oh well...

you don't have a am2 slot you have an outdated one.

if you could look around, you could still probably find a 3700 for s754, but even then, its not that much faster than your current cpu, and its expensive because its hard to find.
