Hello everyone,
A couple of days ago I had to reload XP Pro SP2. I have a D915GLVG Intel Desktop Board 512 MB RAM with P4 2.6. Everything went smooth and everything is fine except there is no sound. I have installed the Chipset Software and in sequence I installed the drivers for graphics, LAN card and Audio. When I insert the softwares CD that came along with the board, it shows that Audio Drivers are "On System" but I cant hear any sound; there is no Audio device detected when I see the Sounds and Audio Devices in Control Panel. I have checked in the Device Manager and there is no Warning sign in front of the Audio Codecs and anything related to Audio for that matter. I used to install Realtek Audio Drivers earlier and everything went fine. Now when I install Realtek Drivers, the system asks for a restart(its automatic) and after that too nothing happens to sound. No Sound! Please help me out. What should I do? Thanks and best regards |

There is no sound device detected. I cannot remove anything.... there are only Legacy Audio Drivers and Audio Codecs installed when I check them in device manager under Sound, Video and Game Controllers.
