3D Mark 06 scores For Top Cpus
Ok so these are the results for cpu test for amd and intel on 3D mark 06 cpu test
Intel Cpu testing rig spec: Mobo: D975XBX Ram: 2Gb DDR2-800 Ram GPU: MSI 7900GTX AMD Cpu Testing rig spec: Mobo: nForce 590 Ram:2Gb DDR2-800 Ram GPU: MSI 7900GTX Scores: Core 2 Extreme QX6700: 4152 Core 2 Extreme X6800: 2578 Core 2 Duo E6700: 2346 Athlon 64 FX-62: 2188 as you can see the Core 2 Extreme QX6700 with quad core gets the most frames in this test. but you will see a slight change when tested with a game. Game: Quake 4 same rig running at 1280x1024 Core 2 Extreme X6800: 127 Core 2 Duo E6700: 116 Core 2 Extreme QX6700: 115 Athlon 64 FX-62: 98 |

ive seen similar results between dual,and single core.the one with the higher clock frequency beats out the one with lower.that tells ya quake 4 really isnt quad core optimized.
