New Ati all in wonder not showing boot screen on asus A7V8X-X mobo
Computer setup:
Motherboard: Asus A7V8X-X CPU: AMD Socket A Sempron 1800 mhz Video Card: ATI Radeon 9250 AGP New video card: ATI All in wonder 2006 edition AGP We took out the old video card and put in the new card and turned on the computer and there was no boot up screen at all (No DOS screen). We then tried updating the motherboard’s BIOS with the latest and installed the latest VIA 4-in-1 drivers to update all the AGP controller drivers. After all that didn’t work we re-installed windows xp service pack 2 and did the same updates. This is where we’re at. We made sure the video card actually worked on my intel based system as well. |

If the card works in another computer updating the drivers is not going to help because if I understand you correctly the computer is not posting with the card in. In other words there is nothing on the monitor at all during start up before it gets to windows.
The agp slot on the motherboard can't be bad because the other card works, I don't know what could cause this but I have a older all in wonder card that will not work at all in a MSI motherboard, same thing the computer refuses to post with it installed yet I know the card is good. If you find a answer let me know |
