Computer boots but no display and k/b lights flash

I'm new to forum and need some help to fix my pc.

I run:

Pentium 4 prescott 3GHZ
Asus P4P800-E Dleuxe
Sapphire ATI Radeon 9250 256MB 128bit DDR AGP

My problem is the pc turns on and the monitor light goes green then goes to amber. The monitor displays 'standby mode' and then the lights on the keyboard keep flashing.

What is causing these problems? My gues is PSU can anyone help me out, and how likely is it that other components have been damaged?

Thanks

Please post the PSU specs including brand, wattage, and amps.

First, try removing the AGP card and reseating it. Sometimes these cards can work their way out of the slot a little causing this sort of problem.

If that doesn't help, if you have more than one stick of ram try booting the system to each stick individually.

The PSU is un-branded it was a cheap one that came with a case. Its rated at 350w, unsure of amps, i will find out and post them later on.

I will try reseating the graphics card.

thanks

Seems like bad RAM to me, if you have more than 1 stick try removing them 1 by one to find your culpret, or take them all out and use a stick you know what definately work
