Dane-Elec Memory?
I'm awaiting delivery of my Asus P5P800 SE motherboard.
I did buy 2GB of memory but it's high density so will not be compatible so i need to get some memory elsewhere. I'm looking to get 1gb of this http://www.falconcomputers.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=0_24_56&products_id=138 I've never really heard of the maker so wondering if anyone else has. It's near enough the same price as 1GB kingston dimms so if it isnt any good ill just get kingston ram instead. Also is 1GB of ram enough for graphics design and also gaming or should i go for 1.5GB-2GB ?? Thanks. |

Hmm...1GB should be plenty for gaming and graphics design. If you were doing video editing/rendering then I'd say bump it up some more, but that should be sufficient.
IMO, I would just buy the Kingston anyways. Haven't heard of that brand and since they are relativly the same I would just go for what you know.

I agree with both of gamerman's statements. 1Gb should be fine, and I'd get the Kingston instead. It's better to go with what you know than to take a chance.

Hi,
Just for the heck of it, here is what I tell my customers. Please repeat after me: "Memory is so important to a computer's operation, that I shall never put off brand memory in my computer. Further, I will never use memory that is not on the QVL list for my motherboard." Oh, the memory you are looking at is off-brand. Therefore, my two friends have both given you good advice.
