Hello.
When I bought my PC late last year, I was given the option to create a 'hidden partition' by my Phoenix BIOS. I created a 30GB partition on my 120GB hard Drive. When I installed Windows XP the partition was not there, and all that remained was my C:\ Drive, now at 80GB. I followed instructions in the manual to change the partition settings in my BIOS by pressing LShift and F12 at startup but all I get is 'No Proper HDD found'. Does anyone know how I can get this lost 30GB back? Thank you. |

Well if you can figure out how to run fdisk through dos then you should be ok. Once you are in the fdisk though dos just delete the 30gb partition and you will be fine.

fdisk will not see or do anything if the drive is formatted with NTFS
try using boot it ng (free for 30 days >>>> print the manual ) http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/bootitng.html

That seems like a nice tool. I am not entirelly sure about that NTFS thing though. Because I have a NTFS hard drive and fdisk still showed me that hard drive and partitions that were in NTFS format. There must be a misunderstanding somewhere. But anyway that software should take care of what he is wanting to do.
