dirty processor fan
Hey there folks, I have an Acer Aspire 1520 notebook i'm trying to maintain. It keeps shutting off as the cooling fan is a bit crudded up and isn't running properly. trouble is, I can't get at the damn thing to clean it. I took all the screws out of the base of the notebook, but can't seem to get the thing apart. my warranty is up anyway. I had the cooling fan problem before but it meant me sending the whole notebook back to acer which takes a few weeks, time I don't have right now!

alot of times on those fans, a can of air has no problem blasting in that far and getting 99% of the dust out of it.
most times, there is hidden screws, i will look and try to find some diagrams EDIT: i'm sorry, i can't find anything that even resembles a diagram for that thing.

I own a 1520 series as well but I've yet to take it apart. PM me an email and I'll send you the documentation I have at home.
