Inspiron 5150 - LCD completely Bad???
I have an Inspiron 5150 that I'm having some problems with. About a week ago I woke it up from a the screen saver after it had been sitting idle for a few hours and the screen wasn't working correctly. All I get is a flashing solid red, then blue, then green, then black, repeat. No other video. It will just sit there and continue to flash these colors.
I have hooked up an external monitor and it works perfect. Tried to reseat all the cables for the lcd and still nothing. I still just get the same display on the lcd. Of course this piece of junk is out of warranty so dell won't help. Their Phone support said I need a new LCD. I was looking online and found a couple of lcds for the laptop but wanted to make sure I needed to replace the whole screen before I invest that kinda money. The lcd definately comes on and shows those couple of repeating colors so if it can show red, blue, and green, why not my desktop? Any ideas? Thanx, Jason |
