External Mouse Not Working on IBM 600X
It appears that the built-in mouse on my IBM 600x is no longer working. The pointer is jumping all over the place. I connected a Logitech PS/2 mouse to the PS/2 port and it was working with occasional freezes. On a few reboots, I had to go to Device Manager to scan for new hardware in order for the mouse to work. Then at one point I downloaded setpoint from Logitech and the mouse worked perfectly. On the last few startups, the PS/2 mouse is no longer recognized, regardless of what I've tried. The built-in mouse is set to Auto-Disable. I tried a serial mouse, it works but the pointer is not very responsive. I would like to have the external PS/2 mouse working.
Thanks in advance for your help! |
