Compaq Presario 1510t..Series pp2150..Bios password
I came upon this laptop from a family who said their grand children had played with it. It has a bios password in it and the hard drive is locked. I'm told the only way to get it operating again is to replace the security chip on the motherboard, now i'm wondering how much of a job it is to remove and replace the chip.I'm a retired electronic tech. and am ok with soldering. I imagine it is a surface mount chip which i have never worked with.
Can someone tell me what i'm looking at if i try this. I can get the chip from pwCrack.. Thanks |
