Hp Pavillion Zd7000

My laptop just died on me. I can press the power on button and the light will come on but no processor and power to screen. I removed the batterpack several times and replaced it afterward with no joy. The OS is XP. Any assistance is apprteciated here to help me.

Try pulling the RAM and re-inserting it. The try to boot the machine.

If this does not work, try pulling the hard drive an re-inserting it.

As laptops get moved about a lot, it may have taked a hard hit making something have a bad connection.
