Dell 600m not starting....kind of

Hi all great forum you have here....

i have a dell 600m which is out of warranty of course....and just yesterday i had it running in safe mode doing hijack this and virus scans to try and find my problem. Well it locked up during a virus scan and the picture got very grainy....pixelated...and so i restarted (soft restart through windows) but when the computer came back on after shutting down....nothing came up. The hard drive is spinning, the CD drive engages and will open, but nothing is going on, no BIOS nothing will come up. It's not like the computer is working but the LCD isn't....nothing is happening at all.

So i'm guessing mobo problems? Once i started it and the scroll lock button was steady and the caps lock was flashing (which i'm guessing means bad mobo?) but i've only gotten that to happen once.

Any help would be awesome i'm going to reseat the memory, optical, hard drive, and lcd tonight and see if i have any luck. Any thoughts?
