Laptop won't display when booted.
Well I have this laptop that is running on Vista. Ever since I've had this Laptop I have always had a problem with it getting really really hot. So I went out and bought a fan to keep it cool. But it only gets hot when you play games such as WoW on it. Anyways, one day the damn thing started flicking colors and getting pixely and boom blue screen of death. Then I restart it and its fine. Then I get back on it and it gets all pixely again. So I restart it again, and I boot it back up and the Dell things shows up and asks if I want to do A scan or whatever so I do it. But then it takes an hour so I restart it again. But when I boot it up this time nothing displays. I look to see if all the lights are on.. and I listen and hear the hard drive going and the fan. My guess is that the video card went out but I can't find out how... maybe it over heated but it worked before I restarted it. Any guesses?

Re: Laptop won't display when booted.
shine a torch on the screen and see if you see anything
try a monitor connected to it and see if you get a screen see if you get anything in safe mode
