NEC Laptop Black Screen When Turn On

i restart my laptop yesterday.....but when i try open it back....the desktop be black ....i only see mouse and move the mouse. ......i also can open TASK MANAGER....

tap f8 when booting and from the boot options menu try

last known good configuration

d/load and run the h/drive makers diagnostic utility on the h/drive

use the hatachi one

if it comes up clear run

chkdsk /f

does the laptop offer a non destructive recovery option

Download Drive Fitness Test v4.15 b01 (12.16.2008) - CD Image

burn it to disk with imgburn

then boot the laptop from the disk

no it will only check the actual drive

how to boot from the disk????is it normal boot?

you set the bios to boot from cd first

pop in the disk and reboot and the utility should run
