I have a Dell Inspiron 1520. 2 years old. (I call it junk) because this is not the first issue, just the first one out of warranty. Recently received the "blue screen of death" STOP ERROR 000000050 or something similar. I was checking different things and noticed that the fan was not running. The laptop had been on for quite a while before I even noticed the "shut down error" I have aswked Dell if their laptops are configured to shut down so that nothing else will overheat of become damaged (thats what the error stated) It will almost boot, gives the black screen where you select "normal or safe mode" when you make the selection, it goes right back to blue screen. I am just curious if changing the fan and maybe reloading the OS is going to solve this, or it is likely that it didn't shut down and something else probably was damaged? |
