Toshiba 2100CDT

I updated the video driver to the S3 Virge MX from whatever it was when I found it in effort to get adjustable screen resolution, as it's locked on 800 x 600. No joy. Still locked on that rezzie. Does anyone know what I need to do to this thing to get it to do 1024 x 768?

Thx

Re: Toshiba 2100CDT

Could be screen (LCD) limitation... resolutions are limited by the hardware too. See the specs of this model here: http://www.dealtime.com/xPF-Toshiba-...T-PS210C-19LK6

Re: Toshiba 2100CDT

ok, it looks like the screen is limited to 800 x 600.

If I try to boot this thing to a floppy disk or a cd, it won't see ther harddrive.
I'm trying to boot to a command prompt for DOS applications. What am I doing wrong?

Re: Toshiba 2100CDT

Forgive me for asking this... why boot with DOS? If you are trying to install Windows (and laptop is with CD/DVD drive) then it should be straight forward.

About booting DOS... pls. more details what DOS release you are using.
